Naomi is 10 Months old!

Naomi, today you are 10 months old!

At 10 months...

• You are walking... or running across the room, but do most of your walking after 5:00 p.m. We call you the Nightwalker.
  
  
• You enjoy holding onto our hands playing soccer - chasing and kicking the ball around the living room, the driveway, and even through the grass.
  
  
• You eat EVERYTHING in sight and we're constantly doing mouth searches to pull out paper, carpet fibers and the occasional dead bug (grose!)
  
  
• You like to eat bananas, cheerios, rice krispies, prunes, rice, carrots, sweet potatoes, squash and anything else mom will give you off her plate.
  
  
• You randomly stop whatever you are doing and burst out laughing. That makes me laugh, and then you laugh even harder. I love it.
  
  
• You are becoming a water baby. You like to walk in the surf, play in the bathtub, stick your head under the running water and splash in any puddle you can find.
  
  
• When you hear Yo Yo Ma playing the cello, you stop whatever you are doing and reverently listen until he is done.
  
  
• You are fascinated by the ipod and want to be the one pushing the buttons.
  
  
• You respond to questions like "where is mommy's phone?" by taking me to it, "where is the ball?" by going to get it, and "are you hungry?" by opening your mouth and chomping. I love that you are learning to communicate. It is fascinating to watch.
  

Darcy and Kiley come a few hours a week to play with you while I work... but I hate being away from you even that long. I love that you adore me and give hugs and kisses and jump all over me in the morning when daddy brings you in to wake me up. I love going on walks to the ocean with you and watching your face as you discover new things around you, like the flowers on the bush, bumble bees, butterflies, lizards and even dead leaves. You brighten our days and bring so much joy into my life. I love you.
