VOG: Mix "volcanic" and "smog" and what you get is a nasty haze from Kīlauea volcano that stings the eyes and nose, causes headaches, flu-like symptoms, and general lethargy... as seen in my child who NEVER just falls asleep. Needless to say, we cheer each time the trade-winds start back up and cry when the winds die down and the vog sets in.
