potty talk

There is a reason I don't keep the toilet paper hanging on the roll ;)

We had this brilliant idea to purchase a portable DVD player and Elmo movies over the summer for our travels - and it does a great job of keeping Naomi occupied while I shower and get ready in the mornings so that she doesn't come wandering into the shower fully clothed like last week.

Yesterday she took a break from Elmo and came into the bathroom while I was getting ready for the day saying, "pee pee on potty". Ok, so I pulled off her pj's and diaper and sat her on it... voila! She did just that. She asked again after lunch and has done so a handful of times since. It couldn't really be that easy to get her started, could it?

haha. I can hear your voices all ready... there must be more craziness to come!

We purchased a small naomi-sized potty for her to get used to, but she prefers the big-person throne. I'm not sure she's quite ready, nor am I ready to commit to regular potty training, accidents, public restrooms, or give up diapers just yet, but it's a good start.
