cold. so cold.
Conversation between Michael and Naomi looking out the window at the snow one morning in Utah...
Omi: oooh. cold.
Mike: Naomi, it's like the sand on the beach.
Omi: (wide eyed stare at Mike) noooo! cold!
Two days later... tired of the cold and snow...
Omi: sun all gone. SNOW!! ALL GONE! (telling the snow to go away)
Every morning when we would get up, she would look out the window to see if the snow was still there and say, "cold. so cold."
She enjoyed wearing slippers (thanks everyone for loaning us warm-weather clothes!), but kept taking her socks off and putting them on her hands to be mittens. One afternoon I bundled her up in snow gear to go out and play in the snow... tights, pants, two pairs of socks, boots, two shirts, sweatshirt, snow pants, coat, gloves, and hat. She could hardly move!
We went outside and she was terrified of the snow. I'd put her down and she'd cling to me until I picked her back up.
omi: "mommy, up?! mommy, up?! pwease? Naomi scared."
stac: "Naomi, why are you afraid?"
omi: "Cold. so cold."
She was delighted to see the ocean as we drove home this week... and happy that the "snow's all gone."
