Miss brown eyes :: 6 months!

Kalea Kaura, today you are 6 months old!

weighing in at 13 lbs-13 oz and measuring 23" long
(something like 65% for height, 10-15% for weight, 65% head size)

I am in love with you from head to toe. Your beautiful brown eyes warm my soul. You have brought joy to our family and are loved, so loved, by so many.

At six months...

• You love to sit up, like all the bigger people, but cannot quite balance on your own yet.
  
  
• You love the freedom of rolling, you hate getting stuck or not being able to get exactly where you want to go.
  
  
• mmm. spit-up. all-over. all-day. babies are gross.
  
  
• You are a good sleeper. It completely amazes me that you can put yourself down for a half-hour nap each morning all by yourself! You go to bed at 7pm and usually wake once (occasionally twice) a night. You are a great baby!
  
  
• You have finally graduated from sleeping tightly swaddled. You are enjoying your new freedom to sprawl out and actually wear pajamas.
  
  
• You like to drink 4 oz bottles every hour and a half on the dot... all day long. And should we go a minute over, you let the world know. Tiny stomach and fast metabolism!
  
  
• You think Naomi is the funniest thing in the world. You adore her. Completely. And she adores you. Completely. She can make you laugh better than anyone! You love to play peek-a-boo with her and laugh and laugh (at her or with her?)
  
  
• You are ticklish, especially around your shoulders and your cute, cute tummy. That delights your daddy. We love your belly-laugh!
  
  
• You love toys, dolls and Sesame Street.
  
  
• You are a great baby, generally happy and mellow...mellower than your older sister, that is. You are definitely a morning person - so happy smiley, and always wondering why we're not as enthusiastic at 6am.
