Celebrating 2 sweet miracles!: ONE very sweet birthday girl

Dearest KaleaKaura,

One year ago we received the call that you had made your debut... 3 weeks and 12 hours early. You were in a hurry to get here... and needed more room to finish growing! We packed our bags, worked all night to finish deadlines for work, and flew through the next night to finally greet you face to face.

You were so small. And so very sweet. Our hearts melted. Our lives changed.

We fell in love.

With you.

Today you are 12 months old! Thank you for filling our lives with joy.

At 12 months...

You are a happy little person (when not teething) and purely delightful.
You are just taking your first steps and are up to 10+ steps in a row.
You have two top teeth and two bottom teeth.
Your vocabulary consists of: dada, mama, naynay (Naomi), baba (bottle), hi, up, oh ya, i see you, g'pa (grandpa), all dt (all done), ba (ball), blue, i did it, ow, and WOW. You are very good imitating sounds and words you hear. You randomly say things like "blue" and point at the lake or sky. I can't imagine you know your colors yet... but you say so many things at just the right time that I'm starting to think you actually know how to speak, but are trying to play baby!
You wear clothes in every size from 12 - 18 - 24... whatever we can get to stay up around your tiny waist!
You love to sing, especially "Row Row Row Your Boat", "Popcorn Popping" and "If you're happy and you know it clap your hands". You love to clap!
You are obsessed with my iphone and I have to keep it out of sight or out of reach.
You love to swim in the ocean and don't like to be restrained by flotation devices.
Sleeping long blocks of time is not your style. You are a very light sleeper and sharing a room has been... challenging.
You love your sister. You copy her every move and simply adore her.
You give the sweetest snuggle hugs and when you blow kisses my heart melts.
