Waimea

Eddie would go, but due to the 30 foot waves instead of the 40'+ and perfect conditions, the Quick Silver Eddie Aikau surf competition didn't go yesterday.

If the Eddie happened every year, it'd be just another surf tournament – and Eddie Aikau just another surfer.

But they're not.

We headed to Waimea after some of the crowds had dispersed and enjoyed some time together in the golden glow of the sun. (Ok, Kalea and I enjoyed the sun while Naomi spent most of her time in the car for repeatedly throwing sand at people.)
