tea party

I live with little princesses. Pink, pink and more pink. Frilly dresses and tutus, dolls, tea sets. When Naomi was born I had a drawer full of mostly green, orange and other neutral colors for her to wear - but I discovered early on that she looked lovely in pink. Her favorite color? Why pink, of course. The amount of pink in our house has grown and grown.

And you know what? I LOVE IT. I love having little girls. I grew up with boys. Our home and neighborhood were saturated with boys. In many ways the last year has been like living an alternate childhood for me - sitting down to tea parties, putting dance music on for the girls to twirl and spin in their tutus, singing "Bibbidy bobbidy boo!" and changing them into princesses or birds or whatever magical creature they want to become. It makes my heart happy – they make my heart happy.
