Happy Birthday Naomi!
Naomi turns the big ONE-year old today! Happy birthday baby girl!
Naomi, today you are 12 months old!
At 12 months...
- You are simply delightful.
- You are wearing size 18 to 24 month (2T) clothing and growing fast!
- Your vocabulary consists of: mama, dada, baba (bottle), Hiiiii, up, ya, lubBoo (love you), nana (grandma and banana), a boo! (Peek a boo), and humuhumunukunukuapua'a (Hawaii state fish)... ok, just "humuhumu" for now.
- You understand things such as "bath time", "lets go swimming," "night night," "where's the ball?" "Will you pick something out for mommy to wear today," "leave it alone, please," and "lets call daddy". You communicate with me quite well. "Are you hungry, Naomi?" "ya." (or you open your mouth and chomp).
- You walk confidently and add this cute little strut when you are happy about something.
- After much work, you are now ticklish... but only daddy can get it out of you!
- You break into laughter when you hear other people laughing.
- You love little people! (keiki...children). You are drawn to little people like a magnet. You love to watch, follow and copy them.
- You are so incredibly affectionate and give lots of sweet hugs and kisses to mommy and daddy. You melt our hearts.
- You are also going through a very clingy stage... you are happy and confident meeting new people and playing with friends and family... as long as mommy or daddy are RIGHT there!
- You are learning the actions to several songs and like to sing along with me.
- You really know how to dance, girl!
- You love the ipod and cell phone. You even called grandma and grandpa in the middle of the night one time... sorry! ;)
- You love to swim in the ocean, splish, splash, kick, taste the salty water and play in the sand.
- You love playing with uncle mike. He makes you laugh.
- You've learned how to click your tongue and clap your hands and love songs and games with clapping actions.
- You do this funny thing when I'm holding my hand out to you to come to me. You plant your feet and stretch your hand out to me as far as you can until I can resist no longer and come running to squeeze you.
You are happy, healthy and oh soooo very loved!
phew. that was exhausting.
