Bedtime conversation

Naomi appeared in the bathroom doorway while I was getting ready for bed (10:30 p.m... 2 hours past her bedtime. She is on a sleep-strike.) After rocking, driving, reading, snuggling and singing, I asked her for the 50th time to go lay back down.

omi: Mommy and Naomi go downstairs. Naomi needs 2 little pink Ibu. (Ibuprofen)
me: Why does Naomi need two little pink ibu's?
omi: Pwease? My need two pink ibu's.
me: Are you sick? Do you hurt? We only take Tylenol and Ibu when we are sick or we are hurting.
omi: (fake moan/cry) Omi's sick.
omi: (she headed down the hallway) Come on, mom. Come down stairs wif me!
me: Omi, come here... I have a secret to tell you.
omi: (running back) What?
me: We have some right here in my bathroom.
omi: I knew it!

(she did have a low fever and four molars coming in, so I gave her some)
