sisters
They spent an entire 25 minutes upstairs playing together with no squawking, whining, pushing or fighting while I cleaned downstairs. New record. When I finally went up to see why they were being so... quiet (read: good), I found them delightedly wheeling their suitcases around my bedroom at the "airport". They were getting on an airplane to go see grandma and grandpa. Bags were packed with all their precious things (Omi's jewelry box, all the cards that go to Alphie, a large stuffed Lorax, camera, Cookie Monster, Dolly, and dirty clothes).
I suspect they are like most young sisters - they spend more time fighting over toys than they do playing nicely together... but they are starting to play better and longer together and really enjoy each other. They love to dance and sing, go on trips with their wheely backpack "suitcases", cook up some random dish for me to taste in their little kitchen, take their babies for rides in their strollers (thanks to grandma we now have two - and that has made all the difference in the world!) and play motor boat or ring around the rosies. Naomi (3/4 of her way to being 4) swings Kalea (18 months this week) around and then drags her to the floor where they both lay in exhaustion laughing their hearts out. They love each other and that makes me really really happy.

So cute! From the sounds of it, they are acting just like our girls :) I wish we were closer then they could all play together.
