"My OTHER sister"

On the first day they were with us, Naomi came running to me and said, "I'm playing with my OTHER sister!"

Meet my dear friends Judy and Amy. Naomi lovingly refers to mother and daughter as "the sisters".

She asked Auntie Judy, "Where's your little sister?"... and now that Judy has returned home, "Where ARE my sisters?" haha.

Several years ago when we lived in Oregon, Judy came to visit me every month. She listened, she comforted, she became a good friend. A sincere friend. We spent Thanksgiving with in their home with their family. And something I've always loved about our friendship? She and my mom are the same age, and I'm sure they would be the best of friends if they had the opportunity. Friendships can come from anywhere, and she has been a blessing in my life.

Her beautiful daughter Amy was recently accepted to the university here and so they traveled out together to enjoy a week of paradise and get Amy settled into her hale (dorm). We loved spending the week together with them and really like the fact that Amy lives only a 7 minute walk away.
